We weren't quite sure if we were going to be able to have a toy drive last year, but at the last minute, we were able to get everything we needed together and make it happen. And boy, did it happen! We reached out to friends and businesses, the community, and, of course, you, and together, we surpassed our wildest dreams and raised nearly $56,000 in toys for foster kids and families in need. It was truly a Christmas miracle.

Our team worked insanely hard to get everything done (and somehow, we still aren't finished). We met this week and went over all of the stuff that worked and all that didn't quite measure up to our standards. We have a lot of work to do this year so we are starting early. As in... now!

One of the snags we ran into last year was space. We didn't have any to organize, sort and inventory toys. We've run into this problem before, but never at this level. And, of course, we want to work even hard this coming year to make sure we are getting toys to all the kids that need them.

As such, we are starting our fundraising much earlier than normal. We need to secure a small warehouse space so we can build shelves, organize, sort, inventory and get toys, art kits and clothing out to people who need it when they need it.
